My name is Haley, my pronouns are they/them or she/her, and I am running to be your next State Senator.
I have lived in Arizona my whole life and moved to Flagstaff in 2018 to attend Northern Arizona University. I graduated in 2022 with a BS in Political Science. In 2021, I began working with the Arizona Students' Association to advocate for young people in politics. I have registered hundreds of students to vote, held events both on NAU's campus and in the greater Flagstaff community, and gotten to know what really matters to students and other young people in Arizona. I was also the campaign manager for Kyle Nitschke, who ran for this same position in 2022. Through this experience, I was able to connect with people all across LD7, from students and community members in Flagstaff to rural voters in Payson to concerned citizens in Apache Junction. I have always been passionate about helping people and doing all that I can to make Arizona a state for ALL within its borders, and it is this that makes me a strong and qualified candidate for LD7 State Senate.
I also want to introduce myself not as a politician but as a person. I was born and raised in Chandler, Arizona as the daughter of an Arizona public school teacher and a hospice nurse. I grew up with my twin brother, my older sister, and my two step-sisters, all of whom I adore. I love dogs and will make any excuse to go visit my childhood dog, Otis, who lives with my parents. I am queer, I am a nerd, I am a woman (sort of), I am neurodivergent, I am a recent college graduate, I love politics, I spend most my free time reading, and my biggest goal in life is to help people. I will do everything in my power to use my life experience to be the change that Arizona so desperately needs.
